The project involved the design and realization of a multi-family house in Kaiserswerth, marking a significant milestone as a first construction venture for both father and son. This freestanding building with a garden provided the duo with invaluable hands-on experience in execution planning, from initial concept to completion. Located near the sought-after Clemensplatz, the project was aimed at creating four high-quality rental units, each measuring approximately 100 square meters. A key focus of the design process was the selection of premium materials, ensuring that the building harmonized with its surroundings while standing out for its elegance. The façade was clad in traditional brick, complemented by slender window profiles that balanced contemporary aesthetics with a classic, timeless feel. This material choice not only provided durability but also allowed the building to blend seamlessly into the architectural character of the neighborhood, known for its charming historical context. Throughout the process, attention to detail was paramount. The layout of the units prioritized functionality and comfort, with generous natural light and well-planned living spaces. The garden surrounding the building added to the livability, offering a serene outdoor area for residents. The result was a well-crafted residential building that reflects the family’s dedication to quality and thoughtful design. This first experience in large-scale residential construction laid the foundation for future projects, demonstrating a strong ability to combine design vision with practical execution.
