As part of our longstanding collaboration with ProPotsdam, one of the key players in urban development and housing promotion in Potsdam, we were commissioned to design an office expansion. The goal was to create modern, functional, and sustainable workspaces that meet both the current and future needs of the organization. The challenge was to develop an expansion that seamlessly integrates with the existing building structure while providing room for growth. This required adhering to ProPotsdam’s high standards for sustainability, user-friendliness, and flexibility. Our design approach was based on a thorough analysis of the existing office spaces and close coordination with ProPotsdam’s various departments to understand their specific needs and workflows. The design focused on creating an open and communicative work environment with multifunctional spaces. In addition to traditional workstations, the plan included meeting rooms, retreat areas, and flexible workspaces to accommodate different working styles. A key priority was the integration of smart building technologies to enhance comfort and optimize energy consumption. Sustainability was a central aspect of the planning process. The expansion was designed to incorporate energy-efficient materials and technologies to further reduce ProPotsdam’s ecological footprint. Additionally, special attention was given to maximizing natural daylight and integrating green spaces to create a healthy and inspiring work environment. The project development was carried out in close collaboration with ProPotsdam’s project managers and other specialist planners. This cooperative approach ensured that the design was both functional and economically viable. Requirements for accessibility and ergonomic workplace design were fully addressed. The office expansion for ProPotsdam is not just an increase in workspace capacity but also a reflection of the company’s values: innovation, sustainability, and a strong sense of responsibility toward the community. Our work on this project once again highlights our expertise in planning forward-looking and customized solutions for our clients.
